This classic book, which sold 3 million copies, was the first to introduce the phrase body language. It introduces kinetics, the science of nonverbal communication, which is used to analyse the common gestures we use and observe every day, gestures which reveal our deepest feelings and hidden thoughts to total strangers-if they know how to read them. Body Language is an original treatise on reading people’s minds by reading their bodies. With areas like how to be a leader and how to use silence to your advantage, together with the obligatory how to spot a liar or tell if someone is sexually attracted to you, it’s interesting to read such an impactful book. There is a 2002 updated edition. In fact, Fast has written several books on aspects and the art of body language.
